A Dividend Aristocrat is a company that has consistently paid dividends every year to its investors for the last 25 years. In order to be a Dividend Aristocrat, a company must be part of the S&P 500, which is an index that tracks the 500 largest companies listed on the stock exchange.

The difference between Aristocrats and Kings is that Dividend Kings need to have increased their Dividends for att least 50 consecutive years.
